We welcome you to the site of the “Financial Management, Accounting and Information Systems” graduate programme, offered by the Department of Accounting and Finance, at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki

By expanding and upgrading knowledge in the fields of Finance Management, Accounting and Information Systems, the programme aims at:

  • the specialization of the department’s graduates, of those of other related departments and of the graduates of any schools of Economics of other Universities or Technological Educational Institutes (TEI)
  • the training of professionals to the point of rendering them fully capable of meeting the demands of enterprises, organizations and services, in both the private and the public sector
  • the promotion of development, of theory and of the applications on the above mentioned areas, as well as the promotion of motives that will enable our students to successfully conduct any type of scientific research

The structure of the programme and the content of its courses are in accordance with international standards. Great emphasis is placed on the cultivation of critical thinking and on the application of theory into practice, through advanced laboratory courses.

The quality and continuous improvement of the provided services, the development of new employment alternatives for graduates as well as the professional certification provided at the end of studies are the programme’s key concerns. This can be deduced from the programme’s up to date curriculum content, the professors’ complete scientific training and the methods applied in monitoring and examining the courses provided.

The Department of Accounting and Finance of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki possesses significant infrastructure, fully capable of supporting the programme’s educational and research processes. It can also support the Graduate’s Programme with additional facilities, if need be. In particular, there are available fully equipped laboratories that provide access to accounting software packages (ERP) and other tools that can be used both for the courses’ educational needs and for further scientific research by students. It's worth mentioning that the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki stands out in the field of the Greek Higher Education for its expertise in ERP Systems applications.

To conclude, I would like to mention that the Graduate Programme’s operation and orientation meets the goal of the Department in becoming the springboard to a successful and creative career for young scientists. In this way, it contributes to the country’s socioeconomic development and makes the Department a significant contributor to the services of our society.

Thus, I invite you to navigate into the program’s website in order to retrieve further information and apply for the Master’s Programme that is scheduled to begin in the spring semester of the academic year 2016-2017.
