Admission Requirements and Processes

Graduates from the following categories can be admitted in our postgraduate program:

  1. a) Graduates from Departments of Economic Schools of Greek Higher Education Institutions (Universities and former TEIs) or recognized foreign corresponding Departments or other University Departments with related academic subjects,
  2. b) Graduates from Departments of Social, Science and Polytechnic Schools of Greek Higher Education Institutions or from abroad, with at least two (2) years of professional experience related to the subjects of our program within the last decade, or holders of a master's degree related to the subjects of our program.

Holders of a University degree from abroad are accepted, as long as the degree is academically equivalent, according to the National Registry of DOATAP (www.doatap.gr)

Students can also be accepted, if they have successfully completed all the necessary academic obligations of the first cycle of studies (Bachelor’s), except from the graduation ceremony. In order to participate in the evaluation process (Phase B and C), it is necessary that candidates present a Certificate of Completion of Studies, issued by the Secretariat of their Department, which will certify the completion of their studies, as well as the grade of their degree. Finalization of their registration will be done after presenting a copy of their degree.

Admission Process

The process of submitting the application and the supporting documents is completed in two phases, as follows:

     Phase A (Electronic Submission to the Secretariat)

  • ONLY electronic submission of the completed application. No other supporting documents are submitted at this stage. The application constitutes a Formal Declaration of the applicant, certifying the existence of the qualifications and the relevant titles listed in it. All titles and supporting documents will be submitted during the second phase of candidate evaluation.

     Phase B (Hardcopy Submission to the Secretariat)

  • Copy of the applicant’s degree (degrees obtained abroad should be recognized as academically equivalent, according to the National Registry of DOATAP) or Certificate of Completion of Studies, issued by the Secretariat of the Department where they are studying, which states that the applicant has completed their studies, their final grade and that only the graduation ceremony is pending.
  • Transcript of Records
  • Detailed CV
  • Certificates documenting good knowledge of the English language (for foreigners with very good knowledge of the Greek language)
  • Scientific publications or distinctions (if any)
  • Evidence of professional experience within the last decade and/or evidence of research experience (if applicable)
  • Other qualifications (if any)
  • Photocopy of an identity card or passport
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation, sealed and signed by the author of the letter. Letters of recommendation may come from academia and/or the candidate's professional field.

Evaluation process

The evaluation process of the candidates' applications includes three (3) phases:

Phase A

Electronic submission of the application within the prescribed deadline.

Phase B

Evaluation of candidates based on the following evaluation criteria, which shall be weighted as 80 % of the total evaluation score.

  • Final degree grade (40%)
  • Level of knowledge of the English language (20%)
  • Relevant professional experience and/or research activity1 (10%)
  • Other degrees (bachelor's or master's degree) (10%)

Phase C

Personal interview (20%).
